Considering now that the blog has cover images to adhere with the design of the theme (also with the old theme), the number of images are getting larger including the repository itself.

I’ve recently published the theme Chunky Poster. Been working on the theme for a few nights now and finally got the basics down.

Recently changed the theme to Clean White. One thing I noticed is that the header image is not responsive which causes it load a bit slow when viewing on other devices.

Drupal 8 has provided some really small and helpful utilities. One of these utilities that I was able to make use of for a certain project was PrivateTempStore.

One of the projects I’ve worked on before needed a chart that displays asset values for funds. The requirement was to allow editors to modify imported data and display it as a simple line chart in a content page using D3.

The Webform module is a popular module that has been around since the early stages of Drupal. It allows site builders to build forms from Drupal’s admin dashboard.

Been recently playing around with Dokku, a heroku-like, selfhosted PaaS solution for servers. I’ve wanted to test out deployment of Symfony 4 on Dokku.

The current blog uses Hugo as the static site generator with a forked theme of Even. I’ve managed to use Gitlab Pipelines to deploy the site to Netlify.

There would be instances where modules would need to include configurations or settings to configuration entities that are defined by other modules.

Validation constraints allow a lower level of validation for entities. Unlike in Drupal 7, validation usually comes from form validation handlers.

Docker has been a necessary tool for me when it comes to development. I’ve used to use Vagrant but have then switched to Docker.

Been a user of prezto for about 5 years now (ever since I started using zsh) and have always wondered what’s it’s like to either have a minimal zsh configuration from scratch, to use a plugin manager, or try out another framework.

Recently stumbled on this comment from lobste.rs. I have heard of Alacritty before but never had a chance to try it out.

Password Store is a command line utility for managing your passwords. The passwords are stored in an encrypted file which makes use of gpg.

Finally moved back to jekyll. Nothing fancy here though. This is hosted again in Github Pages. I’ve made some small modifications on the default template and added the jekyll-archives plugin.

PHP I originally used the PHP package bundled with OS X. This doesn’t seem to be easily maintainable since you would have an outdated PHP version.

I got PHPDBG enabled in PHP 5.4 although I’ve never bothered giving it a try. Recently, I decided to play around with it to try to compare it with Xdebug.
